Thunderrrr

The thunder and lightning really need to stop now. Its been like what.. 2 weeks with daily thunderstorms now? I'm already sleep deprived as it is, and the booming and flashing every night doesn't help either. And since the weather has decided to be so crappy lately, it might as well rain through next week, so tennis tryouts are cancelled, and I can stop freaking out every time someone mentions anything about tennis. My fate is to be determined next week, and all I can worry about are these stupid storms. Clearly, I need to get my priorities straight.

My camera broke. No matter how hard I tried to make it work again, it just wont turn on.
So as for now, blogging is a very secondary thing, fixing my dear camera is number one on my list. Once that is done, I promise to post much more!

I guess I should provide an explanation for a few of these... first off I purposely put tennis in both lists. Mainly because I have a love-hate relationship with tennis right now. Tennis is my favorite sport, and I love playing it, but currently I'm sick of going out in the hot sun almost every day, chasing after an unforgiving yellow ball the size of my fist. Also, I hate serving, because I can't do a proper serve for my life. 'Adults eating lollipops'. This one might be my favorite one on the list. I always find it amusing when I come across an adult doing a very childish activity, like sucking on a dum-dum. I think it shows that every adult has that kiddish side to them. My annoyingly fragile phone makes the Ice list because I feel like every time I look at it, it has another scratch on it or its case is peeling back more. I mean, I love my phone, and I could never live without it, but sometimes I just want to chuck it out of my window. WHS and CMS. I think the fact that I will be starting high school in a couple weeks and that middle school is forever over, has finally sunk in. That doesn't change my extreme nervousness for starting HS, but whatever, nothing will.

Pot Of Gold

If you live around here, you probably heard the short thunderstorm that passed through here. Well once the storm was over, I had to go somewhere and on the way there I saw a huge, beautiful rainbow. The sky was all yellowish green from the storm so the rainbow looked really bright. I LOVE seeing rainbows after storms because they light up a sky with color after all the dark grey, colorless clouds have left. I hadn't seen a rainbow for so long, so I tried to take a couple pics. Seeing as I was in the car, they didn't turn out too great, but none the less here they are :)

Taylor Swift

The one. The only. Taylor Swift. I think she totally deserves an entire post devoted to her, so here it is :). Taylor Swift is my all time favorite artist for soooooo many reasons. Mainly because she writes her own songs, she has an amazing voice, and her lyrics are so full of meaning. Her songs compared to some of the other crap that comes on the radio these days, is like night and day. She also seems pretty down to earth, despite the fact she has thousands of fans all over the world. Music aside, I also think she is absolutely gorgeous. She has this exotic model meets country gal look which I think is really unique.
Although I love every one of her songs, here are some of my favorites!













On October 25th, her 3rd Album comes out, it's called 'Speak Now', and on Augest 16th her new single 'Mine' is coming out. IM SO EXCITED !!

Inception

*WARNING-THIS MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS*

Inception... that movie pretty much drove me insane last night. So I FINALLY had a chance to watch it, and once I got home, I couldn't stop thinking about it. I mean, this NEVER happens, you watch a movie, you come home, and you forget about it right? I had promised myself that I wouldn't read the endless online explanations, and that I would try to figure it out myself, but I just couldn't help it. I did find one website that just answered a bunch of questions.. you can see it here, but I'm still confused if the last scene was reality or a dream. The movie cuts off right before you see if the totem falls or stays spinning, but after it went dark, I thought I heard a noise that sounded like the top fell, but I cant be sure. As for the movie itself, I thought it was amazing, and it might be one of my new favorite movies. I don't think it makes the cut for my 'All Time Favorite Movies', simply because I thought that the idea of the movie wasn't very original. Avatar, for example had a similar idea, where you fall asleep and you enter a new world, and so do the Matrix movies. I did, however, like this movie better than Avatar. I think my favorite two character were Eams, the guy who could change what he looks like in a dream, and Arthur, Cobbs Sidekick. Eams, because he was hilariously sarcastic, and Arthur because he's played be Joesph Gordon-Levitt, who is one of my favorite actors. Weekend Update!

As you have probably noticed, I'm very lazy when it comes to posting things, but I promise to post more often! On Friday, I went to go get my nails done with my friends in downtown Wayzata. Getting my nails done is one of my many guilty pleasures. Guilty, because having someone rub my feet and draw cute little flowers on my toes, while I'm reading an old Vogue Magazine, should not be so enjoyable, but sadly it is. And anyway, we pay them don't we?

Yesterday, I went to a picnic where there was a lake. Naturally, I wanted to 'carpe diem' and do something like.... go on a paddle boat? So in a spur of the moment decision, I got my three other friends and we rented a paddle boat. Now, the last time I went on one of those was probably like 2 years ago, with my dad peddling beside me. This time around it was a bit different. I had NO clue how hard it would be to pedal that stupid boat. I did find out, however once we were in the middle of the lake, and my legs were so sore, I couldn't move them. We decided to stop and switch peddling a couple times, and by some miracle, we actually got back to the dock. While we were peddling aimlessly around the lake, I got some cool pictures of the lake.

I heart NY!

I initially was going to start this blog before I went to New York, but of course I was too lazy and put if off until now. New York City is one of my favorite cities, and it's a dream of mine to live there some day. While I was there, we went to Times Square, almost everyday. It was AMAZING, the number of people all crammed

into one city block! In the middle of Times Square, there was a Forever 21. It wasn't just any Forever 21, however.... it had 5 stories! Needless to say, I spent a couple of heavenly hours there! One of the days there, Uruguay had won a match during the World Cup, and hundreds of Uruguay fans took over all the tour buses and were shouting and waving their flags. You could hear them from the opposite end of the block! I found a small Gelatto Shop in Greenwich Village, that had the most delicious Gelatto I have ever eaten! Besides the usual sightseeing tours, we also went shopping in Chinatown, where I learned how to bargain with stubborn shop owners. I had so much fun, and I really want to go back soon! I got some really nice pictures around New York, some which I posted down above!!
